Based in Des Moines, Iowa, The Stork Wearhouse is a WAHM-owned and -operated business. I'm Louisa, and I'm thrilled to have found this way to stay home with my kids, Blake (born March 2004) and Joanna (born August 2006), while indulging my interest in natural parenting! Dave and I also have an older son, Kyle, who graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and is now in the Army - he's a Corporal with the 82nd Airborne, currently deployed to Afghanistan. He adores his little brother, was thrilled to meet his little sister while home on leave recently, and has even been heard saying he'll probably use cloth diapers when he has kids (to save money, of course.)

Thankfully, The Stork Wearhouse is now a two-woman operation! Lynn does most of our order packing and shipping. Lynn and I share many passions in addition to cloth diapering and attachment parenting, so enjoy chatting while we work. Most of the time her son, Davis, comes along and plays with Blake. I started out wanting to use cloth diapers on our son for environmental and financial reasons. I didn't even know before I started how much better it is for your baby's health! But all I knew about was what was available at our local baby superstore, which was a nightmare - lots of leaks and very uncomfortable for Blake. Luckily, I had good friends through Bradley class and La Leche League who turned me onto "real" cloth diapers. And now I'm completely hooked! We use cloth diapers full time, vacations and grandparents included!

I purchased The Stork Wearhouse for two reasons. First, so I could contribute to the family finances while still being at home with the kids. Second, to support other parents who want to make natural choices for their children. We have a full range of products for cloth diapering, babywearing, breastfeeding, natural pregnancy, bath and body, etc. My pledge to you is that every product I sell will be something I have used and love! (OK, I never got around to using a Belly Cast Kit.)
